XOLAYRUCA is a poet, writer, and student of life. Growing up in Southeast Los Angeles (SELA) has deeply influenced who she is and where she is going. Her poetry flows in English and Spanish inspired by the richness of the concrete jungles of her childhood and the lessons learned a trancazos. SELA courses through her veins and erupts in a lava of poetry that is thick with emotion, hot with coraje, and hardens to shiny pieces, where, if you look closely, you can see yourself.
